England 3 Estonia 0: For the first time since 2004, Wayne Rooney scores in international competition as England romp over Estonia for their 4th consecutive win in Euro 2008 Qualifying.  So with this win, England can now have a ticket to Austria/Switzerland with a mid-week win over Russia. Shaun Wright-Phillips opened the scoring in the 11th minute when his shot went right through Estonian keeper Mart Poom’s legs. Rooney scored 20 minutes later from a chance from 15 yards out, before Estonia helped England win on an own goal in front of 86,655 fans at Wembley.

In other Euro 2008 scores:

Scotland 3 Ukraine 1: This has been a very impressive run by the Scots. They’ve beaten France, Lithuania, and now the Ukraine. Andriy Shevchenko scored for the Ukraine, but it was all Scotland, and fittingly, James McFadden scored the clinching goal to make it 3-1.

Slovakia 7 San Marino 0: Honestly, why do they even bother running up the score against these guys.

France 6 Faroe Islands 0: Shocker isn’t it?
